We invite brands to pledge to the Inclusive Sportswear Charter and commit to a Champion Project that advances the inclusive sports kit movement.
Successful Projects will gain Inclusive Sportswear Champion status, accredited by Inclusive Sportswear following assessment.
Inclusive Sportswear Charter Pledge
- Embed the Inclusive Sportswear Charter in sports kit policies, practices and decisions.
- Contribute to unifying attitudes to sports kit policy and practice to support choice and enjoyment.
- Support the education and advocacy work of Inclusive Sportswear
Inclusive Sportswear Champion Project

What is a ‘Champion Project’?
Upon Pledging to the Charter, a brand will be required to build a Champion Project.
- The Champion Project must demonstrate tangible commitment to Charter principles.
- It will address specific inclusion barriers, and can be co-created and co-delivered with Inclusive Sportswear.
- The Champion Project will be assessed through the Inclusive Sportswear Charter Impact Framework to ensure accountability.
How it works:
- The Champion Project follows a core package, but will be co-designed bespokely depending on the scope of work.
- Within the Champion Project, Inclusive Sportswear offers brands:
- Bespoke workshop support
- Expert advice in policy, design, product, campaigning
- Assessment under Charter Impact Framework
- Champion Project accreditation upon successful completion
- Brands will be able to engage Inclusive Sportswear across the Champion Project and request further support in design and execution as requested via consultancy..
The Champion Project will be created to advance the movement and can fall under one of the following headings:
Educate
Support education of Charter and/ or Community Platform
Advocate & Inspire
Amplifying inclusive sportswear messages to wider audiences
Innovate
Innovation in product, market, research or alike to support inclusion

How is a ‘Champion Project’ assessed?
The Champion Project is assessed through the Charter Impact Framework:
- Comprehensive reporting framework demonstrating alignment with Charter.
- Evidence-based assessment of initiative outcomesStakeholder feedback integration.
- Sustainability plan for continued commitment.
